Many of you have been asking to see more A-TACS images from the field so over the coming weeks in addition to new product announcements and introductions, we will be releasing a series of new images showing the pattern in different operational environments. These first images showcase the pattern on an SRT team at work in an urban environment.
For this release, the folks at GTI (Government Training Institute) were kind enough to host one of our very first in this series of location shoots. In an exclusive partnership, A-TACS Nylon Cordura is now available for worldwide distribution through LC industries. As a result of this distribution deal, production-ready fabrics can be purchased in quantities as small as 5 yards. Many have been asking about the status of A-TACS Tactical Clothing, Nylon Gear and Kit since we introduced it at the SHOT Show in January.

Kroko International is a family runned bussiness founded in 1961. At the beginning, the company was handcraft oriented and was producing leather products for fashion industry and various leather accessories. From the start the company was recognised by the customers for high-quality products and make-to-measure projects.

In the begining of 1990’s when the civil war started, there was a strong demand of the market and the government for police and military products due to the war circumstances. That was the turn-over point, in which the owning structure decided to make a swerve in the policy of running the businnes and started to produce police and military equipment.

Naturaly, leather was the first material that was used to produce such products, considering that till that period, leather was most commonly used material for police and military equipment. Over some time, company engineers got the know-how for the specific products and have been introduced to new and modern materials that were easier to handle and more appropriate for special equipment than leather (e.g. Cordura, Nomex, Kevlar, various membrane materials…etc.).

Thereupon a strong development occured, manifesting in the implementation of the new material and bringing new products to the market. Also, new products were designed for special military and police purposes such as holsters, duty belts, backpacks, various protective gear, ballistic equipment, tactical vests, pouches…etc. Along with the producition part, Kroko gained exclusive distribution rights for many top quality and military approved international brands such as ESS, Camelbak, 5.11 Tactical, SureFire, Danner, Belleville, Marlow…etc. Company growth was substantial and along came some new ideas.

At the beginning of the year 2001., company has begun to develope new BDU uniforms for the Croatian Armed forces. Following the woldwide trends, the idea was to make a recognizable uniform in  digital pattern that will provide a confortable clothing, outstanding camo properties and will consist of hi-quality moder materials that have a special characteristics. Engineeres have implemented the landscape of Croatia in digital form together with other patterns and created a new desert pattern for the forces is peace keeping missions. After the desert camo has been approved and tested, company started the development of the woodland and urban version.

Today, the company has a history of almost 19 years of supplying Croatian Armed Forces, Croatian Police, Ministry of Justice and other government institutions. The quality of the product has also been recognised international, so the company exports its products to Germany, Switzerland, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Montenegro, Kosovo, South African Republic and others. One quarter of the Croatian armed forces is already been equiped with the new BDU’s and the feedback from our troops abroad is outstanding. Off course, development goes on in every field and, without a doubt, the company has become a national and regional leader in supplying police and military equipment.

I have myself used the same quality for eight years in the Norwegian Army and I’m very satisfied with the quality.   4. You can add MOLLE compatible pouches (MAS) if you need extra 40mm grenades, pistol magazines etc on various places.
